Featured Food: Quail Meat

A few weeks ago I covered quail eggs, but as I was recently given some quail meat, today is the perfect day to cover the whole bird. A cousin of the chicken we expect similar qualities. It is meat of course, so protein is the desired nutrient. Quail have more protein and less fat than their chicken kin. In addition you can find:

  • phosphorus
  • iron
  • coper
  • zinc
  • selenium
  • niacin
  • B6
  • shorter cooking times.

Short and sweet today, it’s vacation time for many and a holiday is rapidly approaching so I figured I’d keep it light.
