Recipe #25: Bacon Lasagna

What could potentially be the best Christmas present EVER? Not just a basket full of family food love greatness, but a basket with BACON! Next a task, a challenge given to my father. Create a vision of bacon deliciousness worthy of sharing with others. One which will cause salvation at a glance, which will make others wish they had gotten bacon in their stocking, which will cause others to rush to the store so they too can excite their taste buds with pork fat satisfaction! Here my friends are the results: Bacon Lasagna.

  • Bacon
  • 6 pasture raised eggs
  • Sliced peppers: yellow, red, and green
  • Onions
  • Raw butter (thanks Mary and Steve!)
  • Shredded Cheese

To Make: Cook bacon (although here I may differ from my father, I probably would have taken the time bake it, as his was curling up on him). Cook/scramble eggs. Note: Do not overcook as they’re going in the oven, maybe cook so they’re on the verge of done. Saute onions and peppers in butter. Set bacon on a towel and begin your layering. Bacon. Eggs. Peppers and onions. Cheese. Dad got two layers with his. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. There you have it a filling bacon lasagna!
