Sunday Share: Bonus Recipe

What is this? It is a Caramel Apple Scone. You can eat this? Of course you can, I fed these to my beautiful nephews yesterday morning (they know what’s up too because they also had eggs and bacon so they could get protein and build their muscles. Which is exactly what they would tell you as they flex up their tiny biceps). Enough chit-chat, here is the recipe:

Caramel Apple Scones

What’s in it:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
  • Topping: ProDessert Protein Pudding, water, whipped cream and sugar-free caramel syrup

How to make it: Mix all the dry ingredients: flour, salt and baking soda. Beat in an egg and honey. Fold in the apples. Mold into triangles, place on a greased pan and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Meanwhile make the topping by whisking the pudding with 1/3-1/2 cup water. Fold in caramel and whipped topping and sprinkle some cinnamon. Once the scones have cooled top them and serve. Yummy, just ask Trenton!
